First day of "Perfecting the Press" by Kenneth Jay.
Lots of interesting stuff on fatigue, and a really cool fatigue index (FI). One step at a time, I just started with the pre-workout "State of Body and Mind Questionaire". It's a bunch of questions where you rate how you feel from 1-5, with 1 being feeling lousy, and 5 feeling amazing. And stuff like how much sleep, how much stress, how much water this week. Stuff like that.
I scored a 2.
A score of 1-2 is "comprimised", a score of 3 or 4 is "normal", and a score of 5 is "optimal".
So considering that I'm comprimised today, I didn't push the workout too hard.
Today was HS (Heavy Session). So working at 5-15 reps at ≈85% of 1RM.
My 1RM = 80lbs (right hand) and 70lbs (left hand)
so that puts my trainging kettlebell at 72lbs (right hand)
and 64lbs (left hand)
I'm starting with Plateau Breaker #1: Center of Gravity Elevation as per recommendation by Dustin Miller and Tim Spencer. Center of Gravity Elevation is achieved by stacking two kettlebells on top of each other in the same hand.
Besides looking cool, having two kettlebells in one hand is a major pain in the ass. I'm really struggling with keeping one on top of the other on the clean. Something to practice.
