At 37 years old, Cameron Diaz is rocking the Daisy Duke shorts like none other for her new movie "Bad Teacher". Her trainer, Teddy Bass, says she wanted a "long and lean look", so they the rocked squats and lunges. On top of that, they threw in our favorite, cardio/strength circuits. And it's worth remembering that when Jessica Simpson cranked up her workouts to put on the original Daisy Duke shorts... ...she rocked the squats and lunges. With strength/cardio circuits. Are we noticing a pattern? Most people need more variety of reps. You've got to mix it up with "strength" squats and lunges and "cardio circuit" squats and lunges. It could look like this: 3-4 weeks of pistol squats (if you workout at home) or barbell squats (if you workout at a gym) followed by: 3-4 weeks of unweighted lunges, jump lunges, squats, jump squats, deck squats, side lunges, unweighted step ups, box jumps ect. -Josh Hillis, RKC2, NASM-CPT/PES, Z-R/I *************************** I mentioned Vince and Flavia's workout program in the last email. ===> Get A Rock Hard Summer Body It's a really killer program, and the story is kind of funny. Vince's style is a little different from mine, but that's why I think it would be such a great program for you. If you've been following my programs, or even any of the last few programs I've promoted (which were all very much in my style of training), it might be time for a big change in workout style. Remember, your workouts have to change at regular intervals - like seasons. Do them all in sets of 5-8 reps
Instead of doing sets with numbers of reps, do sets for time - like alternating between 1 minute work/1 minute rest.
